How we will manage works
This work will occur during standard construction hours (Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm, Saturdays 8am to 5pm). We will provide further notification of any work that is required to take place outside of these hours.

For your safety, please stay on marked paths, and follow the signs or any directions from site staff during construction.

Noise, dust and vibration will be closely monitored. This includes mitigation measures such as:
  • Programming noisy works to occur during the day
  • Noise and vibration monitors
  • Water trucks to manage dust
In addition, excavation works on the new Paediatric Services Building site is currently underway to remove and dispose of unsuitable material for construction including asbestos which is being done in accordance to strict safety guidelines.

A specialist remediation contractor has been engaged to safely undertake the removal work in accordance with the requirements of SafeWork NSW and the NSW Environment Protection Authority.

A number of control measures are in place to ensure the safety of staff, patients, visitors and our workers. This includes our workers wearing protective clothing and suits, use of geofabric (orange or white material on site), wetting down areas and air monitoring.
