MAY Works Notice

Please note that these are subject to change due to weather and/or operational impacts. 
Works are continuing for The Children's Hospital at Westmead Stage 2 Redevelopment, which includes the new Paediatric Services Building, a new multi-storey car park, refurbishment of some existing areas and a revitalised forecourt:

• Civil, structural and services works are continuing on the Paediatric Services Building and multi-storey car park site including concrete pours and jumpform erection surrounding the cores on the Paediatric Services Building site.
• Preparation for civil and services works, including demolition works, is underway for the new forecourt called ‘KidsPark’. 
• Work commencing within the existing hospital for refurbishments and Viral Vector Manufacturing Facility Stage 2 (Innovation Centre) including investigation works and demolition within the Innovation Centre.

Pedestrian and traffic changes
As always, please follow direction of signage and site staff for your safety. There may be some changes to traffic conditions while work is taking place including intermittent stoppages and lane closures. 

Motorists are reminded to slow down to 20km/h while travelling along Redbank Road. 

Our work hours
This work will occur during standard construction hours (Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm, Saturdays 8am to 5pm). We will provide further notification of any work that is required to take place outside of these hours.

How we will manage works
For your safety, please stay on marked paths, and follow the signs or any directions from site staff during construction. 

Noise, dust and vibration will be closely monitored. This includes mitigation measures such as:

• A class hoarding
• Programming noisy works to occur during the day
• Noise and vibration monitors
• Water trucks to manage dust
