April Works Notice

Please note that these are subject to change due to weather and/or operational impacts. 
The work is being carried out at the back of the hospital and includes activities to prepare the site for main works construction of the Paediatric Services Building and Multi-Storey Car Park. This includes building foundations for the new Paediatric Services Building, earthworks, construction of temporary and permanent roadworks and utilities investigation and relocation works.

Pedestrian and traffic changes
Temporary pedestrian and traffic changes will be in place while this work takes place.
As part of the Redbank Road realignment works, traffic will be moved onto the new temporary lanes in early April.
From 3 March until June, the bike and pedestrian path from Redbank Road to Kid’s Research Lane has closed due to early works for the new Paediatric Services Building.  Please see map for alternative routes.

Work has stated on realigning Redbank Road to improve traffic flow and access to the new car park. We will keep you updated of any changes as this work progresses.
 
How we will manage works
This work will occur during standard construction hours (Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm, Saturdays 8am to 5pm). We will provide further notification of any work that is required to take place outside of these hours.

For your safety, please stay on marked paths, and follow the signs or any directions from site staff during construction. 
Noise, dust and vibration will be closely monitored. This includes mitigation measures such as:

• Programming noisy works to occur during the day
• Noise and vibration monitors
• Water trucks to manage dust
